Improvement of Teachers’ education is a contemporary issue of great concern to the educationalist. The need of training for secondary and primary school teacher has become a crying need in west Bengal , and there has been a long-felt need of establishing new B.Ed college in Hisabi (Awalsiddhi), Amdanga in north 24 parganas where the majority of the population belong to S.C, S.T, O.B.C and Minority categories.

To meet this demand the ‘SHIKHA’ trust came forward, promoted by sense of philanthropic mission to provide quality education to would be teachers, the Trust setup ‘Amdanga Adarsha Teachers’ Training College’ . situated in a cold, quiet and serene atmosphere, the College enjoy the unique advantage of a peaceful academic environment .

The college also provides D.El.Ed course for would be primary and upper primary teachers.

Library Facilities:

Our library is enriched with huge no. of text and reference books, News Papers, Journals etc. The library extends both reading & lending facilities to the students. Library work is obligatory for the students.

Laboratory Facilities:

College has   well – equipped and modernized Science and Geography laboratories. Students are groomed by the expert teachers to have an individual hand – on- experience.

Class Room & Seminar Hall:

College provides more than 26 well equipped digital class rooms with setting of computer, projector, internet connection etc. Students are also using these facilities for their project presentation, seminar discussion etc. The college has two large Seminar Halls in both the campuses with 200 seating capacity.

Students Benefit System:

• The Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC & Minority categories avail stipends and Scholarships as allocated by the Govt. of West Bengal & Govt. Of India. Female students on fulfilling the Govt. Norms may be eligible for “Kanyashree Stipend”
• Purified Drinking water is supplied to the students and staff through the installation of water purifier.
• The entire college zone has an access to free Internet & Wi-Fi facilities as per need for academic purposes of the students.
• Emergency X-rox facility is also provided to the students.
